peppermint brownie heaven

Get thee to a Wholefoods to get a delicious peppermint brownie!  I casually picked one up on my way out to checkout because I had a sudden chocolate craving.  The peppermint swirled into the ganache melts in your mouth along with the moist brownie.  This thin brownie has a sliver of light cream separating the two layers which is a nice touch.  I don't know if there is a particular baker associated with this brownie, but I think it can be easily found in the ready made desserts section en route to the cashiers...

If you are looking for a book to bring a smile to your face and look at life a little differently, try Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.  I think we have all been through times we feel are the lowest of lows.  I like reading stories of how people redeem themselves from those depths and find themselves again.

I had some thank you cards to write, I am liking patterned paper with solids lately separated with a simple ribbon.  It give a lot of texture to the appearance:

For the holidays I bought a hat and mittens pattern from Alicia Kachmar and did a crash course on crochet to try to make something crafty for my holiday gifts.  I see on her etsy site that she is now selling these adorable soaps too.  I love that they are accessorized!
