Wine tasting was on my agenda out in Oregon. We went to wine country which around McMinnville, OR. There were soft hills of as well as flat expanses of vineyards we drove through the valley trying to find the wineries we mapped out.
Domain Drouhin had a 2004 Laurene Pinot Noir that I had to write down in my notes as YUMMY:
Panther Creek's wines still in the barrel:
Some vineyards are usually closed to the public except during certain holidays like Memorial Day weekend so try to go during those weekends to check out those vineyards that one usually can't get tastings to. Since I was there on that holiday weekend, I was able to go to Brick House and Patricia Green. I loved wine tasting in Oregon; it was less pretentious than Napa Valley with some surprisingly good wines. The best part was being able to end the day going to a nice restaurant and getting the bill in a state that does not charge sales tax!
Beautiful pictures, Jane, and what a pretty layout!
I love Joy's notebook in that one dreamy photo too. It's perfect for traveling, eh?
